Brunswick Creche and Day Nursery

Philosophy

Our Vision:

Brunswick Crèche is a diverse learning community committed to programs of excellence for children, their families and educators that embody best practices of early childhood education and promote collaborations that help all children realise their full potential.

Our Mission:

To foster and encourage children as capable and confident learners, and support children to reach their full potential.

 Our Philosophy:

We believe that play is essential to a child’s wellbeing and guides all aspects of curriculum design. Play explores relationships, materials and the physical environment. It provides the space for the child to recognise themselves as competent learners.
Brunswick Crèche and Day Nursery acknowledges that parents are making a transition in their own lives by stepping into parenthood/ or returning to work. Families are placing their trust in Brunswick Crèche and with this trust comes the reassurance that their child/ children are n high quality educational and care setting that seeks the best outcomes for children’s learning and development. We recognize the importance of the first 1000 days of a child’s life.

As children develop and move from Tiny Tots to Mini Minors and then into top Kids Room, we acknowledge that learning / development/ behavioral and parenting challenges may arise. BCDN will support parent with evidence based information and direction to local community services.

We know early childhood is about relationships and for the best outcomes to be achieved, everyone needs to feel seen, heard and understood. Raising children is a journey that requires everyone to work together to provide the best outcomes for every child.
The rights of the child /child safety standards /mental health and wellbeing are paramount in a child’s day to day involvement at BCDN. As Duty bearers under the National rights of the child it is staffs responsibility to ensure children’s rights are upheld and to speak up and advocate if they are not.

The educators at Brunswick Crèche support and practice these relationships. We are committed to providing the space for ongoing exploration. This understanding of the physical and emotional aspects of the environment creates deep connections and a solid foundation for lifelong learning.

Our Commitment to Child Safety and Wellbeing Statement  -Brunswick Creche & Day Nursery is committed to the safety ,wellbeing, and support of all children in our care.
